G mail

hello, i have just registered a G MAIL account, is it a secure site as i cannot see a lock or on my mozilla the taskbar is not yellow, thanks for any replies. allgram.

and the taskbar there is yellow but the rest of the site probably isn't.

It's not a secure site, but then neither are Hotmail or Yahoo Mail.

IndieSinger, if you've not already told gmail not to ask you for your password for 2 weeks and be logged in automatically, then the address you've typed should redirect you to a rather long URL which begins https.

I went to gmail, logged out and then used your link and got to a secure page.

Sorry yes I should have added that the above link directs you to a https:// site but then once you're in your account, the security goes.

I should also have just added that rather than worrying what you type in to go there, it's much easier just to type 'gmail' and hit <Ctrl> and Return seeing as it will redirect you to the secure log-in page anyway.
