who is your isp? Limewire often throttled at peak times like 6-11 and weekends.

I'm not sure limewire has viruses?
If you download a video it may be a fake video that tries to run a script but you get asked if you want to let it do this, click 'no'. Make sure the vid looks a reasonable size.

Have used limewire for a while and havent had any problems as yet, my anti virus thing flashes up if there is a dodgy file!
I just downloaded Bittorrent but cant play anything? And now i cant find it to un-install it!

gem im not disputing your knowledge,but my son installed it on my laptop and it screwed it right up....it might have been coincidence but i would steer clear of it.........

bittorrent more a kind of peer to peer client, you will download torrent files from sites that have them. I would expect all of Family guy to be on Limewire. You could try Youtube I guess, and download them from there.

I don't know either way stoke, I did think that it was risk free if you avoided certain file types (exe or movies with script) but maybe it opens some port or something. I ran a virus scan and I'm all clear, maybe you got hit and I just got lucky.
I do know that Bearshare has more vids but will give you spyware that will give you a headache.
