Actress in 'Open All Hours'

Watched an episode of Open All Hours yesterday and I could not work out where I've seen the 'moany lady' elsewhere (shes the one in her 50's who comes in and moans a lot - sorry don't know character's name). I've seen her in something more recent and she plays a sarcastic lady (obviously a bit older). Its just bugging me!

I think you may be refering to Stephanie Cole. She was in Open all Hours and also later in a sitcom called Waiting for God, where she played a cantankerous old women in a retirement home.

If it's the one I think it is, the lady who normally dresses all in black and thinks G-G-Granville is 'a bit weird', the actress is Stephanie Cole.

She also played the acid-tongued Diana in Waiting For God, and I've got an idea she used to be in Tenko as well.

Well I know Kathy Staff  was in it - she also does 'Nora Batty' in Last of the summer wine, but I think you mean Stephanie Cole.  She does quite a lot of sarcastic stuff but definitely fits 'Diane Trent' in Waiting for God.
