I was also a MOT tester, welder, and tyre fitter. I worked briefly as a Vertical Milling machinest (precision engineer) too. I stopped doing all this back in 1996 though! (I work behind a desk now, MOD and now NATO in Germany).
Hi guys, like impret sir I too have no formal quals' I'm just a petrol head with over 30years of driving experience and grazed knuckles from pulling everything from engines to women and getting that black stuff ingrained into your skin and I'm talking oil and grease well alright maybe some guinness as well. My first car was a Triumph Herald bought it for 100 that was back in 1969. Prefer to let the garage do the work these days though.
I am currently doing a car maintainance eve course at college. In the last few weeks I have learned to change oil, air filters, sparks ect. The course cost 75 so ive already saved 125 on this years service!!! I think this site is a great idea as it helps people with no clue about cars and you lot get to share your knowledge.! everyones a winner!
