The mysterious aeroplane. What was it up to?

Just over a week ago, at 1 a.m. on a Tuesday morning, there was a black, unmarked plane, without lights, circling over Heywood in Lancashire. The plane could be clearly seen and it circled for about an hour. It wasn't a very wide circle either. But we don't know which direction it went when it had finished circling. We were going to phone Manchester Airport to report it, or phone the Police, but by this time it had gone. What was going on?
Oddly enough, the next day, 2 men were arrested for terrorist offences in nearby Accrington. Coincidence or what?

it sounded more like the spy drone that the mod have ordered a few of

but they are unmanned

perhaps whythere wasa helicopter , id imagine the helicopters flightpath was given to air traffic control but not the drones , as the copter was in close proximity it wouldnt be aaffecting other aircraft
