Lil O'lady

Organisations that give employees an entitlement to compassionate leave usually only recognise this , as a entitlement, for close relatives ie mother, father etc. You need to have a talk with your line manager and see if they will recognise this case as compassionate leave, but they are probably not obliged to do so.
