We were in Dalby forest last week walking towards the Visitor centre and this wasp literally just came towards me (past everyone else) and persisted to try to get to me, believe me I ran far enough away and yet it was still there! It was only lucky I had the map for the forest in my hand and a good aim that knocked it clear to the ground, where it didn't move from lol It was after just me I swear!
We were out for ameal as well a few weeks back just me and hubby and straight away I spotted this wasp and it went in some poor mans hair, well I just flipped and was nearly in tears so poor Mr Wingnut just got up and explained I was allergic to wasp stings and had a phobia of them so they allowed him to try to catch the wasp that was by them to put out the window.
It's a good job he loves me lol

My family know I'm allergic to them and help me immediatly , you have to try to explain that at the same time as panicking with strangers though. I was trying to get off a moving bus some weeks ago by asking the driver to let me off because there was a wasp inside . He kindly pulled over and he and another male passenger killed it .
Awww that was nice of them to do that BM!
I think your right puddicat, I really should look into getting an epi pen rather than avoiding going places or eating outside just because there may be wasps about. Apparantly keeping hayfever tablets on you is a good idea too as these can help swelling go down but an epi pen would no doubt work quicker.

Good evening bigmamma! Awww....i can imagine how terrifying it was for you. I hate wasps as well - and am allergic to their stings, so I understand why you don't want them near you. We have giant ones nesting in the trees near the house, and they're just starting to get nosey and to buzz against the windows. It's a nightmare. Glad you're alright anyway. xxx
