BT Home Hub
I'm posting this on behalf of a colleague. He is trying to set up a iwreless connection using BT Home Hub and following the instructions he's been given with the kit. The hub is on with green lights showing, his PC recognises that there is a wireless connection there and that there is a good signal, but it keeps asking for a wireless key. He enters the key he has been given, or perhaps thinks he has been given, and gets a message back saying that the key is not recognised.
Has anyone any idea what this wireless key is and where he can find the correct key ? Or why, if he has the correct key, why it might not be recognised ?
He's running XP SP3 and the service is BT Total Broadband

would have beena bit more helpful if you'd sort of repeated what they'd said!

Ref ACtheTroll.query. After following the telephone instructions
I still could not connect ,so the helpline operator asked me to
connect to the hub via the ethernet cable provided with the
outfit. He was then able to take control of my laptop remotely
and did all the setting from his end
.Whilst this was going on we still had telephone communication and he was able to ask me questions
regarding what was showing on screen and to issue
instructions accordingly. The whole process took about 30
mins to complete and was a complete success.
