I booked up o go to New York on November 13th. I have however found out you need a visa if you have ever been arrested. The person i'm going with was arrested about 10 years ago for a minor offence. Now thatw e have booked and there isnt really time to get a visa, should we be worried about getting into the us?

This question pops up on here every day. Perhaps the UK has updated its transportation rules and is using the USA now, instead of Australia!

If you answer 'no' to the questions on the Visa Waiver form which I think you'll be given on the plane, you'll be fine
I would go with SeaJayPea's advice. Just answer no on the waiver form. In any case, you won't need a visa if they've only been arrested, as long as you were not convicted of any offense.
