i passed my national liciencee certificate a few years ago but i have lost it is there anyway of getting a coppy

If you have got a result slip from the examining board (City & Guilds or Btec) send them a copy of it and request a replacement certificate.
If you no longer have the result slip, the college or establishment where you took the exam will have a record of the result and might be willing to apply for the certificate for you.
