... that isn't perfumed?

Following a tip on HCIYH, I left my greasy cooking tin soaking overnight in a solution of biological washing powder.

The tin cleaned like a dream the next morning. Problem is that it now smells highly perfumed, and no amount of washing it is shifting the perfume smell.

Doh!

mrs c, try a mix of bicarb and water and let stand an hour or 2.

I often use bio solution to soak cooking dishes then put them thru the dishwasher and can't say I've noticed them smelling perfumy afterwards. Could be the higher temp achieved in the machine over hand washing up.

Thanks rabbity - I'll try that next time.
welcome - but I did mean to soak the perfumed dish in the bicarb and water and not use that mix for soaking food off.

Just in case it read that way!
