possibly the structure of your hair has now changed and its softer so wont hold the perm so easily, you can buy products to thicken the hair but they are applied each time you style it so maybe heater rollers would be better?
my woman has *** in her hair an she sez its the biz!!
Ur hair could be resistant to your usual perm lotion.....get a different make of product.

Menapause has nothing to do with a perm lotion. No mention of any such problem in the trade nor in trade magazines?

thank you all for your replys. i will try a perm again. i'll let you know how i get on.
my butty stop doing perms though they havent any evidence, i am still having symptoms of the menopause, and though my hair is reasonably thick, it breaks all the time and i am losing i feel more than i should, and my nails are very brittle, so my advice if you do wish to have a perm get a organic one!!!!
