I am a Scot living in England. I was travelling to Scotland on Sunday. I was dissapointed to se that the 'Welcome to Scotland' sign on the M6 has gone and been replaced by a 'Welcome to Dumfries and Galloway' sign. On my return journey this afternoon, I saw that the 'Welcome to England' sign is still there. Does anyone know why?

I have just crossed from England to Scotland on the M6. Just before the turn-off for the A75 there is a large mostly blue sign with the Saltire on it stating Welcome to Scotland in Gaelic and English.
