SIA Licence refused?
Hi guys,
I was convicted of common assault in 2003 which resulted in community services then i received a deferred 3mths conditional caution 4 possess class c drug and a conditional caution (completed) 4 criminal damage in 2007. Ive been employed 4 nearly 2yrs now by the same company who have paid 4 my SIA licence, i realised that my 1st conviction would be on my CRB and was honest on my application. I didnt know that cautions were going 2 b on my CRB and failed to mention them! Now ive been refused an SIA licence and worried that my boss will find out about my cautions, am i in my right not 2 disclose my cautions?

You are employed to supervise people although you have been found guilty of assault, drugs and criminal damage in the past 5 years? By accepting the cautions, you have confirmed that you were guilty. Perhaps your view that you had only a "slap on the wrist" led you to think that you could be flippant with the law and now you are in trouble becasue of this lax view. Some jobs, particularly those of this kind, require you to declare every thing relevant and you should have done so.
