the perfect gap?

After reading doc spock's thread about wingnut Gary lineker and his marriage split .
I thought id ask and get the general opinion and see if there's a consensus on what is a good or workable agegap in a marriage.
I don't think personally theres a set formula .But do you think its better man or woman older ?
And how big an age gap , if any at all?Or should you only marry folk your own age ?
