I have used Firfox for years. I only joined Answer Bank quite recently. No other site causes this phenomenon but when using AB, I frequently get, "Firefox has encountered a problem" and it closes. Most frustrating. (Of course, the advantage of Firefox is it permits me to restore the pages that were displayed before it closed. But why is it happening?

answerbank is riddled with adware at the moment and is described by macafee site advisor as an unsuitable site of high risk.i tried firefox here but it was so slow , only on ab btw , that im back to internet explorer .

Thanks for the advice, Ethel, I do have ABP already installed and use blockers for any kind of spyware etc too.
:( I don't find Firefox slow here usually, although there are times when it slows to a crawl but then it is the same on IE.

Have you been overzealous with your adblock filter? Try turning adblock off.
Sounds like it could be an issue with an addon.

Try disabling them all, then browsing AB. If it works fine, then you know it's one of them. Enable them one by one until you find the one it fails on.

Thanks, I will experiment but it is only this site it happens on.
Well I'm prepared to get shouted at so here goes.

Get yourself a decent browser and throw Fiorefox in the bin where it belongs
My Firefox crashes repeated on this site, about every 5mins and there's not a lot I can do about it.

Thanks, netibiza, good to know I'm not alone.
To camioneur, I have IE8, Opera and Chrome as well. I have found Firefox is the best for many reasons.
