yes, I agree, it looks just like a normal house cat.
It would look like that if it walked across my garden at the moment....my weeds and grass look something like that!!
this one was years ago, I mentioned it on here where I was at a festival and ended up eating a human with my sis and saying 'Bagsy the skin' was real freaky tasted like chicken.
Mind you, i do believe that there are still large cats out there.
Mr CRXs mum came very close to one in the fields behind our house 3 years ago. It was that big that the dog ran away dragging the mother in law with it.
A friend of mine used to have a big black tom cat who was a right bruiser. You won't believe the amount of people in the area who reported seeing a big cat and it turned out to be my friend's cat. She got embarrassed at how many times the police turned up asking what George that cat had been up to! He was a big moggie, but it wasn't like he was knee-high or anything like that!
We've had a few sightings of big cats up here bur I always thought they were probably feral cats until I saw one myself and believe me it was no feral. I used to work in a country office and one winter morning was on my way to work on a wooded road when I spotted this black cat about the size of a springer spaniel but by the time I stopped and reversed it had gone. When I told the people at work my boss who lived next to the office told me that a big black cat had come into his house and attacked his cat!! And a few weeks later there was a piece in the local rag about a chap I know who'd seen a similar cat in almost the same spot. The cat in the Sun's picture though does look like a big domestic cat.
