grants for storage heating

We have just bought a flat where we were under the impression that all rooms were heated by off-peak electric. Yes, they are, but only with panel heaters which require constant back-up in winter.with standard tariff electricity during the day. I wish to buy a storage heater where I can make complete use of the economy 7 tariff during the night. The cost of one of those heaters incl. installation is around �600. (It is a very large room). My sister is on full disability allowance, would we be entitled to a grant towards this? We are both pensioners.

Hi, try Warm Front.
It is a Government backed scheme for Grants to improve homes eg Central Heating , Loft insulation, Draught Exclusion and Cavity Wall Insulation.
If your sister is on full disability allowance I am sure you will qualify.
