I love my sister but sometimes!!!!

Mys sister is a wonderful woman, but sometimes she gets right to me,if she wasnt my sister, would i actually get on with her, probably not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I have 3 sisters and don't even speak to one of them,I haven't seen her for over 2 years and wouldn't spit on her if she was on fire.There is no law that says we have to get on with our family members!!!

My sis and her daughter live with me. If she were not my sis, I would not be her friend. We are so different. She is a single mom, and i help where I can. I am very close to my niece who is 6. Last weekend my sister had this psychotic break and was trying to send her to her father (who is very absent) b/c she feels that her daughter likes me more. I try to help, but now I am being chastised for it. Now I just cook dinner when they get home, clean up and stay in my bedroom. The poor kid thinks I am mad at her b/c I keep sending her back to her mom.

In a nut shell, I love my sister, buy do not like her most of the time!!! Family! UGH!!

Your stories are sad, i dont hate her to be honest, i am in awe of her, because she had to bring up 3 children after her husbands death, they were only young, and had to cope with my other sister who is a alcholic,my eldest son and her have a good rapport, and at one time i was consumed with jealous feelings,its just she trys to run everyones life, but i know that she is only wanting whats best, but she can be quite brisk with her tonque at times,and qjuite condescending!!!!

I don't have brothers and sisters, but my mother in law has just died and my husband's older sister has been here from Canada for 3 weeks whilst we have been holding the funeral and sorting out things etc.; and my goodness, the man I have lived with for almost 40 years, who is calm, responsible and laid back has suddenly turned into a 5 year old!

I don't know whether it's because she's older than him or because most of the responsibility for caring for their mother fell on his shoulders or what, but my goodness, I keep finding him lurking in corners spitting fire and brimstone about her, it's really wierd!

I supposed it was sibling rivalry, but at 65 and 70 respectively shouldn't sibling rivalry be a thing of the past by now?

its funny because me and my lil sis probably have same social life but I think if she was my sis we wouldnt get on whereas my big sis (redcrx) i think I would get on with, there is nothing that really irritates me about her. but my bro oh my lord... lol
