how do you tie the shoe laces when wearing the dress highland wear. ie; the laces cross up the leg somehow??

Cross them in front of your foot, round your ankle and tie in a bow at the side or in front, as you like - I think. If you hire an outfit, you usually get a little diagram showing the correct method.
