I don't eat meat but when thinking about what to serve up with a particular dish, I try to break down the dish into what it's providing you - in this case you're getting protein (from the meat and possibly bechamel sauce) and carbohydrate (from the pasta). Assuming that the vegetable content (tomato sauce etc) is minimal, then the dish needs some vegetables as well (for vitamins, fibre etc). Therefore puddicat's suggestion of a green salad is a good idea for a balanced meal. Cannelloni doesn't have too much pasta, so adding some garlic bread is a good idea and the butter in that will supply the fat content required. The glass of red wine is for sheer enjoyment !!!
