I let my cat out for the first time tonight, after having her spayed, vaccinated and medicated properly. It was only a few minutes at a time at first, then she came back in. However, she has now been out for an hour, and is not coming when I call her, and I'm getting a bit panicky!!!

She just jumped on my lap from nowhere! :O) I bet she's made friends though, and she'll be crying to go out again tomorrow! lol

Hi Max..I reckon she is just overdosing on freedom...I fretted all night long when my sister's cat stayed out all night,on my watch,when he wasnt supposed to be. He'd been a house cat generally up to then. I got up after a sleepless night...and Willow was at the door ;-)

Yes, I will. which means it's time to adopt regular feeding times, rather than just filling her bowl when it's empty! lol

Hiya Max... I've only just seen this thread (just got in from work)... you need to make sure Jess has a collar (a quick release action type) with your name and address on either a tag or in a little container... Also, a bell or two wouldn't go amiss so that birds and small critters have a chance to hear her coming and not get hunted down.... In the early days of having my sweeties, I only let them out when they were hungry, so that they would come back when I called them for their dinner.
