A Friend of mine has recently lost his mother.
She Died 3 weeks ago.
She Moved from Scotland and moved home on a regular basis.
All over England.
Very complicated. But she seems to have had little contact with my friend .
Basicaly she has left a lot of debt.
My Friend is worried creditors will come after Him for the debt .

Can they claim it from him ???.

I dont know your reasons for working 8 Hours per week but would imaging it has to do with family situ for young kids.
Still remember my previous posts at college you are an employee but f you do any other work you must at least double that fee as you will become self employed.

Thank you for your help so far, I feel a bit guilty for taking up your time. Yes, it is to do with family situation. At the moment I am earning 12 pound per hour as I am qualified at level 3 learning support. So I was hoping that interpreter rates would be quite a bit more. The council actually pay my wages, and I feel they are good payers.
The 12 pound an hour rate is good for learning support. They pay that because the work is so insecure. If nobody needs me then I don't get the hours, they have no obligation to give me hours. At my last job I got 6.50 per hour but I got paid hoildays and paid if I was off work for good reason. So based on that information what do you think they'll give me/or I should ask for?
I need to do some checking ....I was basing the payment figure on someone working 35+ hours per week...
I worked in (Scotland) Social work ...Hearing Impairment team for 5 years and finished 4 years ago.... Still employed in Social Work as i have been for over 26 years....But some councils have decided to employ Interpreters and not skilled staff.
In your situation i would ask for 15 per hour.

Thats a very long story and he is still fighting it.
I did try to get him to join Answer Bank but like a lot of my friends they ask for advice and i need to confirm my responces....Havent heard from him Recently but he has a shed load of worries at the moment.
He is still having problems and i have advised him on it ....But fighting variouse creditors..... If he would only click onto this and see the responces he would feel better but he now feels im giving him the answers he wants and still he gets unwanted guests at his door.
