hi guys,
there is a recipe on the UKTV Food website under Chings Kitchen for the above dish. In the instructions it tells you to use ginger but doesnt actually mention in the ingredients how much ginger to use.. i just wondered if anyone had any idea how much you would need in a recipe like this? having not really cooked with fresh ginger before i wouldnt have a clue how to go about guessing!
thanks very much

jefner when i use fresh ginger i use about a inch diameter, its a strong flavour, u can always use more if reqd!!!
I'd agree with puddicat... just use a chunk of (peeled) fresh ginger about an inch (25.4mm) square all round for a dish serving up 4 people. A bit either way won't matter too much, it more depends on whether you like fresh ginger or not (don't forget to peel it first though)
