Water Butt overflow

I had some water problems with my garage roof gutter prior to installing a water butt. Basically the gutter pipe I inherited with our house purchase was connected from the garage roof to the air and only really caused water on the garage floor in winter time from seepage under the concrete sections. I now have the pipe fitted into my recently purchased water butt (100ltrs) which quickly filled to overflowing with all the b****y rain recently! The lawn at that end of the garage actually dips to a lower level at the garage wall. Can anyone advise with some kind of soakaway ~I could dig myself??

Hi Yes no problem,The old way to do it is to dig a hole about 2mts away from the garage and build a honey combe with bricks, maybe put some hardcore in the bottom, then run the pipe into this, fill the hole back up and turf it over,
Thats the way my father used to do it for his customers.
