If you are a bony civil servant from Slough and the only way you can affirm yourself is by walking around for a fortnight with the last turkey in Tesco on view to all and sundry, then fine, but I wouldn't do it, and I wouldn't do it with my family, and certainly not with my children - being seen naked makes it difficult to have a laugh with them afterwards.

I'm comfortable with my body and happy to wander to and from the bathroom without hysterics and the thought of seeing other people's appendiges doesn't bother me, nor of my kids seeing them to be honest ( although they would just take the mick), but like andy I find it slightly uncomfortable that naturists convene together, but then I imagine if they were free to wander round in the nud in the street so to speak, it would be more normalised and they wouldn't feel the need to meet up.
Funny enough I would have found it really weird to see my parents nude on a naturist resort or anywhere else! BUT we have been to one in Spain, its a small beach where all is very relaxed with all shapes, ages and sizes...we took our 2 sons there (10 and 6 at the time) and it was up up to them if they went nude or not, after abourt 10 mins they decided to throw caution to the wind! but was purely their decision, we were of course naked and they didn't seem to mind a bit - hopefully it will give them less hang ups later in life and not more!
