The BBC have perfected the art of spoiling viewer enjoyment.
Earlier this year an episode of Torchwood culminated in the death of one of the central characters. The episode ended and was immediately followed by a trail for the next episode which showed the "dead" character participating in that storyline.
A week's worth of "has he been written out of the series" speculation trampled on within seconds. Aaaaaargh!!!!
Some of the real-life cop car chasey type things are the worst. There you can find out what is going to be in Part 2 at both ends of Part 1and the start of Part 2 as well.
It annoys me to. Secret Millionaire on channel 4 shows the cheques being given in the clips. That really spoils the show. All the channels are guilty of this. Another thing that annoys me is all the "recaps" of what was shown before the ad breaks.
Yes, I hate it too but the other thing that really annoys me is getting to the end of a drama/film etc where you need a minute or two to think about it or read the credits & they butt in with some "coming up next" item!! (Especially bad if it's sport that they're talking about!)
I totally agree - Desperate Housewives is getting ridiculous! It shows what happened last week and then goes into an ad break - what!?! Sometimes after only 3 minutes of being on air! Also, have you noticed how many ad breaks are on This Morning with Fern and Phil? We are getting more americanised every day.
