On the same day that the innocent Guildford Four are all convicted of the pub bombs, the London ASU rings the home of Hugh Fraser MP in Campden Hill Square W8 and asks what time he leaves in the morning. The cook innocently replies: About nine. The terrorists plant a bomb under one of the wheels of Frasers Jaguar. But at 9pm, while out walking his dog, Professor Gordon Hamilton-Fairley, a world-renowned cancer specialist at St Bartholomews Hospital, spots the bomb, bends down to investigate and activates the bombs micro-switch. He is killed instantly.
