ipod file transfer mystery

I've borrowed a mates ipod and am trying to transfer a couple of tunes onto my portable hard drive for him but don't seem to be able to locate any of the files on it using explore and F: i can't drag and drop from itunes either ! . if he's synced it with his pc will i have to use his pc to transfer the files onto first ?

This program allows you to put stuff onto/take stuff off of iPods without having to use iTunes. It may take a while to load when you first plug his iPod in, depending on how much stuff he's got on there, so be patient otherwise it could screw up his iPod. Also make sure you select the correct generation/model when you start it up.
