Kissimmee is a very popular area for tourists and their are many villas nearby. There are lots of shops and places to eat and drink in the area, but the theme parks are some distance away.
Often these villa complexes are fairly isolated and you would need a car to get anyway.
Here is a map of the area.

You can see that Kissimmee is in the bottom right.
The Disney complex is over to the left, and I guess is about a 20 minute car drive away.
The Universal studios complex is near the top, and I guess about 30 minutes car drive away.
The times I give are approximate as I do not know exactly where the villa complex is.

I have found a map showing the location of the villas.

They seem VERY close to Disney so a drive to there would be only 5 or 10 minutes (the Disney complex is huge so a Disney park nearby would take 5 minutes, a park the other side of the complex would take 10 minutes)
Universal studios would be 15 or 20 minutes drive.
While I dont know this actual villa complex my guess is it would be fairly isolated so there would be little or nothng within waking distance.
However the Kissimmee shopping and eating area would be only 10 minute drive away.
International drive, the "heart" of the area with many shops and places to eat and drink would only be 10 or 15 minute drive away.

Thank you very much vehelpfulguy. When I said villa area it was late last night and just couldn't think of the word 'complex'. I know that there are quite a few sub divisions to Formosa. We have stayed in Davenport on many past occasions but were wondering if there are any restautants, etc within easy walking distance. Would save driving for evening meal occasionally - allowing hubby a drink or two without worry. Thanks again as the links you included are very helpful as we couldn't find much info on the Formosa Gardens immediate area.

Stayed this year at Lindfields which is about 5 min from Formosa Gardens , a car is essential, as it is a bit far from the Highway 192 which has many resturants, shops etc, also you are not far from Universal Studio and Disney World, It is a nice part of Kissimmee and you can head off West or East to the beaches which should take about 1 1/2 hours (steady driving), Take a look at "The Old Town " for a visit on a Friday Night- Classic Car show-Fantastic, 15 min from Formosa, most of the restaurants shopping malls etc are off the Highway 192 I am sure you will enjoy.
