Marrow plant
1 Answers
I bought a small marrow plant at our allotment holders' sale in May.
I think it is related to a Triffid. I haven't fed it or done much to it at all as the year has been so bad for gardening.
However it has crawled all over the plot, is mixed up with my tomatoes, and my runner beans and is making it's way along the garden path.. it's HUGE!
I have had a good crop of marrows from it but it is still producing flowers in it's travels.
My question is are any more marrows likely to develop at this late stage of the year, or should I dig out the plant as I clear the plot for the winter?
Also I bought two Jerusalem artichoke plants which I understand are perennial, so should I just dig out sufficient artichokes as I need them? And if so, how do the plants 'overwinter?'
All help welcome

Jerusalem arti's do over-winter, so you can dig them as required. However, beware of the wind:-)
