I heard recently that if my telly was more than 4 years old then after November this year I would either need to get a new one or it would have to be upgraded to be able to read digital signals? I had a digital aerial fitted last year together with a Freeview harddrive, so will I need to upgrade my TV? Thanks

No, you are ready for the digital switch over.

By adding a Freeview box you have upgraded it to receive digital signals.

Your TV is analogue, and the "old" channels you received were also analogue.

The "old" analogue signals will be switched off over the next couple of years to be replaced by digital signals.

But your freeview box can receive digital signals and play them through your existing TV so you are OK.

If anyone tells you that you need a new TV then just ignore them, particularly if they work in a shop selling TVs !
depends what you want your TV for...

if you want 1080p precision and a nicer set then 'man up' and get a new one otherwise chill as you already have a digi aerial.

Personally i would get a new one anyway.
