I'm now working as an H+S manager for a company that makes ready meals for a major supermarket chain.
As food safety is paramount, part of my duties is to sit on what's called a 'Taste Panel' where we sample each variety of meal that's been made today. So far today I've had:
Shepherds pie Cottage pie Chilli with potato wedges Steak with peppercorns Corned Beef hash Sandwiches for lunch
If this keeps up I'll weigh 10 +1/2 Stone by Christmas
Believe it or not, due to living in the Leicestershire area we have a lot of Asians working for us, most of them are vegetarians and refuse to take part in the panels on religious grounds
We even get stuff to take home if the production lines have overproduced, Mrs 16AFA is a consultant OHA for another food place, last week she got three binbags full of fresh chicken and ready meals for 15 quid!!! I had to clear out my beer fridge to get it all in
