My Grandad is 99 next week and all the family are meeting for a special lunch. I've been told not to bother with a present. But I would like to buy something or give him something to match the occasion. Does anyone have any original ideas to mark this special day?

Why not compile a photo album of all the family members..including pets etc.., if there are children perhaps get them to write something funny/loving etc.

You could also record the special lunch in photos & present him with an album later.

How about a picture of Shaun Pollock (if he is a cricket fan) He has finished 3 games on 99 not out! How original for a cricket fan?

Thanks for all these, I've got till Saturday. I'm thinking of maybe compiling a mixture of things (including the family photos & Cricket photo) like a hamper type but of things relevant to 99 or the year etc etc. Keep them coming....thanks again
