Just looked on Ebay for a dvd that is just out and people are bidding up to 17 on it. Why don't some people shop around on the internet ?? Play.com has the dvd for 12.99 postage free.

you can easily make a living selling stuff from the poundshop on ebay.
ive seeen poundshop stuff selling for 1.50 or even 2 quid.
add on a ridiculous 2.50 for postage and the seller has easily made a few quid for posting on ebay.
very often exspensive postal costs can make ebay buys exspensive .

I have sold a lot of stuff from the 1 shops on eBay for a reasonable profit, mostly to customers who live in the Scottish highlands and very rural areas.
Why people pay eBay prices for dvds I don't know. Sendit and Play are two excellent sites and there are plenty of others. And you know 100% they are going to be genuine when you buy from these big companies - the same can't be said for eBay.
A few years ago I noticed a boxed set of videos selling on eBay for 70+. I searched around and found them for 14.99 from Woolworths online. 1.99 postage regardless of how many sets you bought.
I sold 28 sets before Woolworths ran out.
I can't explain why people don't research before they buy.
