Bee stings in dogs
Our dog has been stung by a bee with no serious reaction except for swelling. Any ideas on treatment and can I use anti histamine remedy meant for humans.

Actually, I can think of several examples where vets have given clients advice and it has been either incorrect or out of date or they have lacked any knowledge of certain conditions. You yourself have often offered advice, as in this thread, so are people to assume this is inaccurate as well?

I would rather people assumed my advice was incorrect and phoned their own vets - it only costs the price of the phone call and that's what the vet is there for. I only worry because sometimes I see ridiculous, perhaps dangerous, advice given out by people who are convinced they are correct (not referring to yourself - your answers are always spot on) and of course if you don't know the answer you've no way of knowing what is right and what is wrong. Most of the questions on here are common questions and could be better answered in a phone call, rather than the replier having to ask a lot of questions before posting a proper answer on here. And as for the several occasions of bad advice - I'm sure that does happen, but in the majority of cases the advice should be accurate.
