Baby pink bunny needs an operation!!!
6 Answers
Hi everyone!!
I took the littlest bunny to one of her hospital appointments today and the surgeon has decided that she needs an operation in the next couple of weeks. The has got a hernia and one of her ovaries is now strangulated by it. If they leave it then she could become septic and be in serious problems and loose the ovary so I know it has to be done sooner rather than later.
But I am really upset by this the poor little thing has been through so much in her short little life already and I constantly have to do physio that is painful and give her drugs to keep her well.
Has anyone else been in a situation like this before she is only 7 months old and only 13lbs due to her problems. I think this is a sense of gotta be cruel to be kind,
but poor baby pink bunny :-(

If this is of any help at all, hernia operations are fairly quick and once it's over, you can look forward to her soon being back to her normal self.
My relative's daughter was born was with a huge array of conditions. She had a cleft lip, (in 2 places), was born with only 3 fingers on each hand, one foot was twisted sideways, and she had curvature of the spine. From being young, she had op after op, and you know what, pinkbunny? She's as bright as a button, drives a car - and expects to be getting married next year. xx

Thanks ice and rosetta its just very hard to have to keep taking her back to the hospital for them to do things to her. I know its in her best interest but as her mummy its horrible. I know I am lucky for her to even be here let alone her be so well (all things considered) but I am just hoping that next year will be a better one for the bunny household and we can live our lives free of drama for once!
But little baby bunny who I was warned would not survive her delivery proceded to come out screaming and gave the doctor too much grief to be ventilated is a fiesty litte girl and I am sure this will not set her back, but ice its good to hear that its a simple op and she should be back to her gorgeous smiling self before long. Just a little more worry to add for now. But she is sleping soundly and its a blessing that she has no idea what is going on and will never remember all this when she grows into a big bunny like her big sister lol,
Thanks again guys the support I get on here is overwhelming at times x x

So sorry to hear about your baby. I'm sure she will be absolutely fine like others have said and she will have no idea what is going on she will be oblivious it is just you that has the worry! All I can say really is keep strong and give her lots of cuddles from all of us too it will be over before you know it. Take care xxx
Hey just though I would add that she has had her op now and it all went really well we only had to stay for one night and the next day she was smiling if not a little out of sorts. I really admire kids and their ability to bounce back so well she is off her solids a bit but apart from that she is home and smiling.
I hope this is now the end of operations and hospitals for the time being but only time will tell x x
