Following on from Sara's question, could you live without the technology we have today?

Could you mothball your mobile, PC, TV etc for one week?

What I can't also understand is people talking on mobile phones whilst they are in the company of friends, etc. It's just so rude. Ban them I say!!!! ;o)
Lol @ LL....and we mustn't forget the radiation that they give out. I was only saying to my other self the other day, that I have two left feet sometimes, and.......
I would rather give up showering than my DVR box!!!! We call it the crack box, b/c it is addictive. Never watch 'live TV' anymore.

Mobile- Maybe
PC - yes
So give us a blog then babbes
Hi EngTeach - interesting about the PC. I hadn't really considered that one...but yes - I reckon I could as well.

Why would i feel the need to do that Knobby? You're the one with the issue, not me.
give up showering ? pheeew , dont know about that !
Yep, I could ditch the lot. That's one of the reasons I love a particular place in Scotland I go to. Leave the PC at home and can't get a mobile signal - don't read the newspapers and don't miss the telly. If only i could do it for more than 2 or 3 weeks of the year so am looking for a property up there!
shanx, I am kidding of course. That damn DVR is so addictive. I tried to convince a friend to get one for 2 years and she dids not want to spend the money,, finally she got one and can't imagine how she survived TV without it.

Anyone else addicted to the DVR?? I need a support gruop. LOL

What's a DVR?!
Can't join that particular support group ET, as I'd rather read than watch films, progs, whatever.
I'm going away at the weekend for a few days, and won't be taking ANYTHING techie with me. I have to agree with barmaid - it's great to have some peaceful time just to take in new surroundings, converse and so on.
Sorry babees but I am not the one with the issue on here trying to sell the big isssue on the streets of london you are the one doing that you failed web site small tissue

I've skipped - has to be said. -yes to them all -they all bring in the main abject misery.

Anyway apart from that --I have lived at certain times without them and I am well rounded and sane :)
