ex forces ajusting to civvy life

my ex has been out of the sbs special forces for 5 years now and is still ajusting to civvy life. hes told me certain things that happened in iraq and there is much more he has not told me. he still has flash backs and is comimg to terms with deaths of friends but wont see a counciller what can i do to help?
