What release agent for concrete and wood?

I am making a wooden mould to cast a concrete feature in my garden. I dont want to buy gallons of commercial release agent for a couple of castings. Is there some readily available product that will do the job?
Would something like washing up liquid work?
WD40?

all sites use diesel
Brush the inside of your mould with any motor oil works a treat.

Thanks for your answers. I have plenty of diesel and engine oil.
Hi SSSid use polythene to line the mould wash liquid would just mix in to the mix as would WD 40 hth Tez
or wipe with grease/vaseline
