How long can you take the pill for? I have been taking it for 9 years without any breaks. I think I remember reading somewhere that you should only take it for a certain amount of time???

I thought it was affecting my moods and the erratic bleeding when I forgot it drove me nuts. The bleeding has stopped but I can't say my moods have! Ask your doctor if you are concerned but I think they'll say it's OK. Unless you are at it like the proverbial rabbit, you need to ask yourself if it's worth it.
CAJ1 i think it used to be recommended that you only take the pill for so long as there were a few case of health including strokes(it happened to a relation of mine) around 10-15 years ago that were said to be related to long term use of the pill.i'm pretty sure that all the claims were unfounded but dont take it as gospel.also since then the pill has been changed and researched and i believe is more or less foolproof unless your in certain categories some of which are
:being a smoker
:being over a certain age which i think is 35
:being overweight
