I've volunteered to sort it & collect all the money in, going to the Brittania Hotel in Manchester!

We had a budget and some wanted to have a nice meal and the other half wanted to drink the budget away in the local pub!!!
So compromising, we had a nice italian meal, couple of drinks in the pub then on to a bar/disco. It was good.
I was asked to do it this year, but I refused as it sent my blood pressure soaring!!!! Lol.

I haven't been to a works Christmas *do* for years - simply because the boys always want to go to a pub that sells the cheapest beer and get totally tanked up. They only ever want to eat steak and chips, nothing tremendously exciting for them ! There is usually only one veggie option and the few times I have joined them, it's been a dreadful, hastily thrown together, bland, boring and overpriced sort of veggie meal.... One year I was presented with a still frozen lasagne and mushy carrots - for 15 !!!!!!
Oh Sachs! Have you any idea what you've let yourself in for? lol
My suggestion? Don't ask anybody what they want cos they'll never agree. Don't give anyone the details - other than venue and time - or they'll argue about what's on offer and if anybody says 'We should have done...' 'We should have had....' 'We would have liked....' just shrug your shoulders and say 'Well, nobody said.....' lol

Oh no Jugglering! lol! At the old place I worked, I joined the techies 'do' It was made up of us & the profs & was all very boring!! Think I had an out of body experience & transported myself to the nearest dive that had brilliant music pumping out! lol! Everone went home after the meal, it was always me and an old friend went on and didn't want the night to just fizzle out!
