i am thinking of applying for the police.i have a tattoo on my right wrist that has my babys name and date of birth on it. and looks like a bracelet. On the police recruitment site it asks if you have and gerish, lewd or offensive tattoo's on your neck hand or forearm. Even though it is on my wrist and can be seen it is non of the above described and is only an inch wide. Can anyone ( ideally someone in the police) advise if this would hinder my chances.
i'm applying for the cheshire police force. I agree with the taste thing but it's deffinatley not gerish. It could be hidden under a watch strap if i was to ware the watch on my right arm and that would cover it up.
You should be fine, They nomraly only have a problum if they are rude / images / words. Many police have tats which I have seen.

I've seen lots of old Bill with Tough Stickers, that's how you know they're 'ard! In fact just your kids name might make them think you are a bit of a cream puff, I'd rush out and get a tattoo of a pit bull done on your thigh mate just to make sure!
