Hi - can anyone recommend a metal detector. It is for a 10yr old xmas present, but I want it to be good quality that we will all be able to use. thanks

i brought my son one from maplins a few years ago for about 60 pound,,,we have found money and a ring with it ..so it is good

Try looking on metal detecting forums there will be plenty of people on there only too happy to give u advice. Try teknetic and fisher owners forum, or do a search for metal detecting forums. I own a detector, and my first one which was easy to use but decent was a Garret Ace 150 you can get them for around �130.00
