What do you mean by the "Role of fungis"(sic)?

Organisms don't have a role to play in the great scheme of things. Every organism, the fungi included, have only one purpose, and that is to survive long enough to reproduce and disperse their offspring in order to ensure the continued existence of that species.

It's called symbiosis, but gen2 is right. There is no role or intention. It just happens that way.
