Is The Washing Machine Staining My Clothes??

I first thought that my sons new t shirt had food stains on it, gave it several hot washes has faded but still there, now my white trousers have what looks like rust coloured blobs at the bottom of them, could it be the washer leaking something,havent found any more marks on towels and such!!!!

Are the marks on when you take them out of the washer or after you have dried them? because it could be down to bird droppings or rust from the metal on the pegs.
