broken mobile

hello wonder if anyone can help-my mobile is broken again, it is insured for loss or damage and whenever they've broken before i've rung up nd they've sent a courier out with a new one but always take the old one away. My problem is i am unfortuantely involved in a police incident where someone has sent me some text messages that are to be used as evience if and when it goes to trial and the police have told me i have to keep the messages on my phone until then, so i cant ring phone co and say my phone has broke cos they'll wat it back-do you hink they'll listen if i tell them the problem or think i am just trying to get another phone out of them (i am genuinely not) or shall i tell them its lost? Problem with the phome is if i dia out it rings other end but i can hear nothing or if someone callls me when i answer i can hear nothing-texting is still fine and cameras given up buit i not too worried about that

check with the police,don't lie to the insurance company , they will block the phone and if your phone is used as evidence you will be in a lot of trouble.

thanks for the advice, yes texting works so i could do that, good idea, its not a nokia though its a htc touch, i dont have the software to synchronie i with my pc and am struggling to find it on line at the mo but still trying
