Apart from the fact that he left specific instructions that none of his children were to be advised of his death until after his cremation, I wouldn;t have gone to pay my prspects, because I didn't have any.
He was as arrogant in death as he was in life, I am glad none of my children or my wife ever met him.

I would say my mum has been the most influential person in my life............but not for the usual reasons. She was so bad at being a mum to seven of us that it made me determined to be the best mum to my kids that I possibly could, and to give my kids all the love I never had from her when I was growing up.Her lack of love and care has also made me into a stronger, more streetwise person than I would have been.
My first wife.
Beautiful until her last breath.
The most intelligent and humorous lady ever to walk God's Earth.
Kindness personified.
And she put up with my arrogance with nowt more than a smile and a hug.
She kept me alive during my darkest hour and for a bird, she could actually drive quite well.
I miss her every single minute of the day but I know that she is in Heaven stuffing her little fat face with scones which she sadly rarely ate on this world because she was always (much to my irritation) watching her figure.
She made me the good man I am today. The bad bits were there before I met her.
