Morning jen, early start today.Sky engineers have already been and installed skyhd. What are you up to?
Morning. Sky hd is fab.

Watching Hollyoaks at the mo.

I need to sort out Sky. Am moving in two weeks but ex is taking Sky with him so need to get my own. Going for Skyplus rather than HD though.

I'm watching hollyoaks in hd.
Morning Jen, be really really canny with sky, they'll make you start a new 12 month contract on a high [package and charge extra for the skyplus and so go online and find a good deal, see if your ex will recommend u cos you both get a cash reward and maybe even a free skyplus box, there are different offers and so shop around.

I am in work all day and so can't relax on a day off for a few days yet.
yep - sky+ is the best thing EVER!! (until is goes wrong!) and good luck on your own - that will be the best thing ever - believe me!!!

I'm feeling really positive about it now.

Found a lovely little place in a location I've always fancied and the Landlord has Ok'd it for me to have a cat so going to go to a rescue place to adopt one when I'm settled.

I love Skyplus! Hoping to get a good deal and get a free Skyplus box if I can wrangle it, will have to check the offers.

Spoke to Sky the other day and sounds like I may be able to get one if I sign up there and then when I ring.
Got our cats from rescue, jen. Took them a while to settle but they are fine now. Still hate each other though. Are you staying in Manchester?
Did have a few problems with sky but the HD was on offer so decided to give it a go.
Hi dot, good to see you back, we are still busy with the family tree
Question Author
Yes, moving to Salford Quays and can't wait :)

Wanted somewhere a bit more homely than the city centre where I am now.

Which rescue place did you use? I've been looking some up and going to start ringing round and sorting an interview etc... for adoptions.

I'm after an older cat rather than a kitten as I work during the week I can't give them the time they need and I'd rather give a nice home to an older cat.

More of a house cat as have a ground floor flat where they can get outside when I'm home.

morning jen, morning everyone,
went to wedding reception last night, because my housemate changed his mind last minute for driving me to the venue which really p1ssed me off:(( the whole journey costed me 60 quids! 3 taxis and 1 train tickect......i only spent 1 and half hour there to catch my train back!!! grrrrrrrr, oh well, had good time there at least...
We used the Preston branch of Cat's Protection but they will have one near you as well. These two are older, we got mother and son aged 14 and 12. We are in a flat as well not on the ground floor, but the cats have never bothered about going out. They did a telephone interview rather than house but don't know if that is the norm. They will be thrilled if your willing to take an older cat.
Its nice round the Quays, bit quieter than the city
Good Morning all. Very early here for me. I have become a bit of an insomniac. Quiet day. Some ironing, marking some papers, hope to find a good movie to take a nap to later!!

Our weather has been gloomy for 3 days now, so no outside stuff today.

Hope you all have a good one.
