Answerbank and cookies
11 Answers
Has anyone noticed after clicking on a category, before the page opens there are lots of websites running along the bottom bar - ie yieldmanager, adrevolver, atdmt, doubleclock etc etc? No doubt they are spyware.
I have found these names in my cookies.
Answerbank is riddled with them. And on my pc it often causes AB to hang/freeze.
Anyone else having same problem?

I opened cookies and one of these is adecn - any idea how I can remove them. I have deleted cookies but every time I open Answerbank they load again. As said earlier, I see them for about one second, loading in the bottom bar as Answerbank opens. Thanks
Try this:
Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Restricted Sites -> Sites -> Add -> Close.
theanswerbank.co.uk is now in the Restricted Sites zone which means that Internet Explorer will use the highest security settings for it, meaning no popups or cookies.
These instructions are based on Internet Explorer 8, which also has something called "InPrivate" browsing. You can choose to browse "InPrivate" at any time and this means that history, cookies etc. will not be saved.
